Turkish prosecutor seeks imprisonment for Istanbul Mayor Imamoglu | Recep Tayyip Erdogan News



The indictment calls for a four-year prison sentence for Imomoglu’s allegations of insulting election officials after canceling the vote.

The state-owned news agency Anadolu said that Turkish prosecutors are punishing the mayor of Istanbul with up to four years in prison for insulting the electoral authorities.

Anadolu reported that the indictment has been accepted and the Istanbul court will hear the case.
